Class Room Age
Our Toddler Classroom is designed for ages 16 months to 33 months.
Curriculum
All activities for Toddlers are based on the most up-to-date practices recognized by experts in the field of early childhood education. Toddlers are growing and learning at an extraordinary rate. We use they’re energy and excitement to develop an engaging and cognitive lesson plan. We work on developing motor skills, explore early math and science concepts, develop language abilities and Art and Sensory skills.
The classroom teachers will prepare appropriate classroom activities for your Toddler. Our programs are developed and evaluated annually by the director and lead teachers, to assure that your child is on the path of early development. The FunShine Express Curriculum Manual, your child’s progress notes and the Centers Program Plans are always available for review by parents.
Outdoor Time
We will play in Gym or outdoors everyday, weather permitting. Our outdoor activities will include walks, playing at the playground, painting, story time and water activities in the warmer months.
Safety
We value your Toddlers experience at Afton View, and assure that their safety and security is our highest priority. When your child starts at Afton View there will be observation notes done to track their activity or any incidents. AVCCC follows the Mn DHS minimum staff-to-child ratios, 1:7 for Toddlers
